Keryflex Nail Restoration
Restore the look of Natural Toenails
Keryflex nail restoration system is a painless, in-office treatment that temporarily restores the appearance of your natural toenails. Keryflex allows the Chiropodist to remodel damaged toenail affected by fungus, defects and trauma. The composite resin creates a flexible, durable, non-porous nail that would enable the remaining natural nail to grow. Keryflex provides you with an immediate cosmetic improvement by providing you with a natural-looking toenail.
Keryflex should be not be used if you have poor circulation, neuropathy, suspicious lesions (on the nail), or ingrown toenails. It should also be avoided during pregnancy if your nursing or have known allergies to any of its ingredients.
Keryflex application is a COSMETIC procedure and NOT intended to cure a disease. Ideal candidates have mild to moderate impairment caused by toenail fungus, nail injury, spoon-shaped nails, brittle or splitting nails, nail ridges, nail discolouration.
How does Keryflex work?
Keryflex nail restoration is a procedure where resin material is applied and hardened with a special light to create a bond (similar to dentist bonding a tooth). Once the resin is bonded, the Chiropodist will smooth and shape the toenail(s) to appear natural. Nail restoration can be done in a single visit.
What should I expect?
Your damaged toenail will be trimmed and filed down as much as possible. After this, a bonding agent drys on the toenail before the resin is applied. Ultraviolet light will harden the resin. Your Keryflex nail is then shaped and filed to look natural. In the final step, a sealant is applied and cured with UV light. The time required for the procedure will depend on how many toenails are being restored.
